About Restored for Good Ministries
Restored for Good Ministries or RFG for short is a non-profit that exists to empower and provide hope for women and children who are struggling through the confusion of spousal abuse and violence. What began as one woman’s heart ache has turned into a mission to help other women find hope, healing, clarity, and encouragement while dealing with abuse, deception, trauma, and spousal betrayal.
THE BEGINNINGS OF RFG
Darah Ashlie
Founder & President
After years of silently struggling through the confusion of domestic abuse Darah knew she and her son needed to get to a place of safety and healing. For years, she searched for help through her church, but couldn’t find resources for women in her situation. While serving in missions and ministry as a family for close to a decade, she encountered other women in ministry just like her that were also dealing quietly with the effects of spousal abuse.
God began to stir a deep passion in her heart for these women, as well as for the women she met in the mission fields where her family lived and served. Having survived abuse earlier in life before coming to the Lord, she never imagined it could happen again—especially not after becoming a Christian in her late twenties.
As she began to experience true healing, she felt a strong calling to help other women find that same peace and safety. She returned to school and earned her Master’s degree in Counseling, with a focus on trauma and crisis care. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Counseling and Traumatology, while also serving full-time in her private practice.
Though still a missionary at heart and deeply committed to the church, God has given her a new way to share the Good News—through helping women heal. She now works with survivors through her abuse recovery practice, develops courses to equip churches in supporting the abused, and speaks at churches, trainings, and community events on topics such as domestic abuse, emotional and relational healing, and overcoming the pain of trauma and loss.
Is your church or community group interested in holding a training event, or learning more about how you can help support victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse?

“My church held a seminar with Darah as the speaker. It was so informative that we brought her back a second time! The information that she shares is so educational and practical. We always look forward to having her in our churches.”
